An emblematic city repeatedly forced to switch nationalities
With a total of 60,000 figurines dating from between the late 18th and the 20th century, the Historical Museum possesses the largest collection in France of «paper soldiers from Strasbourg». Drawn or printed, at times handcoloured, they mainly represent soldiers from the Napoleonic period.
